RESCHEDULING
Guys
I have had to reschedule games @ Bishop McNamara in November
check your schedules for impact on your team
at this point the following is how I will reschedule rainouts
for those games that impact Cup participants
(i.e., determining 1st 4 in each first division and top 2 in all other divisions except Opal)
to assure that Cup goies forward teams need to be prepared to do make ups on weekenights
right now only field available at reasonabkle cost is Ridge Road up I-270 which is difficult for teams to get to
but that may be the only option in the end
games not impacting potential cup participants will be made up in December
any more rainouts and I may have to suspend Cup for this fall
as we simply will run out of time given that we do not have the venues to cover these games @ reasonable price
some places we have used in past are attemtpting to price gouge us
I have worked very hard for past two years to keep our field costs contained
best

Aegean Hawks Capture Spring 2008 Terrill/Blassie Cup
In a tough battle between two WPL teams, Aegean Hawks capped its spring 2008 season with a firm 3-0 victory over WPL rival and Fall 2002 Cup holder, Reds United.
This win marks the second Aegean Hawks Cup championship. Trophy hand-off presented by James Lewis player/manager of the Wobblers, a three time Cup winner that lost to Aegean Hawks during the run up to this season's final.
Springfield Motors (managed by Klaus Meiers and formed from players that would eventually compose the Washington Stars APSL team) hold the WISL Cup record of 6 championships followed by Wobblers, World Bank (the former British Bulldogs reincarnated) and by Asterix (led by Howard University's Trinidadian contingency; i.e. David Reid, the brothers Hislop including Shaka, Kona et al, and US players Crawford Tuttle, Keith Martin and CBS Washington correspondent Chip Reid.
